compass:
  is an old way of picking up an EMF (electric magnetic field). North is
always north on a compass. If you see the needle swing back and forth
swiftly or the needle spins, then there is a good chance you are picking
up a ghost or energy source. As an investigators it is your job to figure
it out. Yes we do use one.

Digital Camera:
  Digital cameras help you detect orbs, ectoplasm and entities that you
may not see with the naked eye. Just make sure you use good judgement
when analyzing the photos. Make sure it's not dust, bug, cig smoke or
even your reflection. We have several different models that are owned
by our team members.

Digital Voice Recorder or Hand held Tape Recorder
  These are needed if you want to pick up an EVP (electronic voice
phenomena). Some spirits will contact you this way. A DVR (digital voice
recorder) is better, but if you are just starting out then a tape
recorder is fine. We actually use both. We have an Olympus DVR
VN-120PC. Which hooks up to your computer by USB. Which makes it
easier to go over the evidence. We also use a Sony TCM-86V
cassette-corder.

Dowsing Rods
  To use a dowsing rods to find spirit energy, most recommend using two
L-shaped rods that have been made from brass or some lightweight
metal. The rods should be held loosely so that they have room to swing
easily back and forth. It has been said that you can find anomalous
energy and some even say dimensional portals, using dowsing rods. Let
the rods lead you. They will point in the direction of any energy they
detect. Once you have found the energy source, the rods will cross,
signaling that the area has been found. You may also use them to ask yes
or no questions. We do use the dowsing rods and it is our opinion that
they work.

EMF Meter
  Currently we use a K-11 Gauss Meter. This meter is one of the more
popular, because of it's accuracy and ease of use. It is small hand held
meter. Also very easy to see under dark conditions. EMF meters measure
the magnetic field around it. It is said that when there is a spirit presence
the EMF meter will spike. Keep in mind you still have to rule out any
other source of energy before just assuming it's paranormal activity.

Infrared Thermometers
  Raytek MT4 Infrared Thermometer is the model we are currently using.
An Infrared thermometer measure the air temperature. When I spirit is
trying to manifest it's self be it an orb or full apparition it takes the
surrounding energy and creates a cold spot. Like anything thing else you
have to rule out a draft or open window.

Psychic Intuition
  We use psychic intuition. We are not claiming to be psychic in the sense
we can see into the future. It's different for everyone. Some just have a
feeling. Some can touch something and see who owned it. Some can talk
to those who have passed on and then there are those that can talk to
those that are earth bound. And yes, I do believe that there are some
that can see into the future and or read tarot cards. Many don't believe
in this method but from personal experience our team does.

  Other Recommended Equipment:
  Infrared Thermal Imager. These are pretty cool but very expensive,
which is why we don't currently use one. With one of these bad boy you
can see the temperature of the room. It could be very helpful. It can see
what the naked eye can't.
